What we collect, and why.
Last updated: 18 August 2026
When you interact with us, we may collect information in two main ways: through information you provide directly, such as your name, email, and payment details when you use our services, and automatically through interactions on our website, which may include your IP address, browser type, and usage data. Additionally, cookies and similar technologies help us enhance your experience and offer customized content.
1. About AgentR and Vibencode
Vibencode Private Limited, incorporated under the Companies Act 2013 of India and recognized by Startup India, operates AgentR. This policy governs the privacy of users (“you”) of the App, in compliance with applicable laws, including the Indian IT Act, and others.
2. Data we collect
We collect information necessary to operate AgentR and enhance your experience:
- User-provided data: information you provide during account creation, in-app interactions, or support requests (e.g. name, email, preferences).
- Automated data: device identifiers, IP address, operating system, usage patterns, and analytics (e.g. session duration, features used).
- Permissions: depending on functionality, AgentR may request access to device features (e.g. camera, location) with your consent.
- Third-party services: integration with services like Firebase (analytics), Google Play Services, or payment processors may involve data sharing as governed by their policies.
- This website: our public marketing site uses Google Analytics to measure traffic, and Leadfeeder, which uses your IP address to identify the organisation a visit came from, not the individual visitor. Both set cookies. Neither is used on the AgentR product itself, and neither has any bearing on how an application is assessed.
3. How we use your data
Your data is processed for:
- Delivering and maintaining App functionality.
- Personalizing your experience and improving features.
- Communicating updates, security alerts, or support responses.
- Analyzing trends to enhance performance and user engagement.
- Complying with legal obligations.
4. Data sharing and third parties
We do not sell your data. Disclosures occur only under these circumstances:
- Service providers: trusted vendors (e.g. cloud hosting, analytics) process data on our behalf under strict contractual safeguards.
- Legal requirements: to comply with laws, legal processes, or protect rights and safety.
- Business transfers: in mergers, acquisitions, or asset sales, user data may transfer as a business asset.
5. Security measures
We employ robust safeguards to protect your data:
- Technical: encryption (in transit and at rest), secure authentication, and regular security audits.
- Administrative: restricted staff access, training, and data protection protocols.
- Physical: secure server infrastructure and access controls.
More detail on how the platform is built and what it deliberately will not do is on the platform security page.
6. Your rights and choices
You may:
- Access or correct data: request a copy of your data or update inaccuracies via the App settings or by emailing legal@vibencode.com.
- Delete data: uninstall the App or request permanent deletion of your account and associated data.
- Withdraw consent: opt out of non-essential processing (e.g. marketing emails) through account settings or by contacting us.
- Data retention: data is retained only as long as necessary for the purposes stated or as legally required.
7. Children’s privacy
AgentR is not intended for users under 16 (or under 13 in compliance with COPPA). We do not knowingly collect data from minors without parental consent.
8. International transfers
Data may be processed globally, including outside your country. We ensure transfers comply with applicable laws and use safeguards like standard contractual clauses.
9. Policy updates
We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be notified via in-app alerts or email. Continued use constitutes acceptance of revisions.
10. Chrome browser extension: AgentR Resume Extractor
This section applies specifically to the AgentR Resume Extractor Chrome browser extension (“the Extension”) and supplements the general privacy policy above.
The Extension operates differently from the AgentR web platform. Specifically:
- The Extension does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on AgentR’s or Vibencode’s servers.
- When you use the Extension on a supported job board (e.g. Naukri.com), it reads the candidate listing on your active browser tab solely to identify resume download links. This processing happens entirely within your browser.
- Resume files selected for download are saved directly to your local machine. They are not uploaded to, routed through, or stored on any of our or any third party servers at any point.
- The Extension does not run passively in the background. It only activates when you explicitly click the extension icon.
- The Extension does not use cookies, analytics, or any tracking technology.
- No login or AgentR account is required to use the Extension.
The general data practices described in sections 2 to 5 of this policy apply to the AgentR web platform (app.agentr.global) but not to the Extension.
As a user of the Extension, you are responsible for handling any downloaded candidate data in accordance with applicable data protection laws in your jurisdiction, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, for users in India.
11. AgentR Guard: Windows desktop application
This section applies specifically to AgentR Guard, a Windows desktop app you run during a live interview, and supplements the general privacy policy above.
What it is
- A narrow tool that catches cheating software which hides a window from screen sharing so your interviewer cannot see it.
- You choose when to run it. It is paired to a single interview with a one-time code, and does not run outside of that.
What it does not do
- It does not record or access your camera, microphone, or screen.
- It does not take screenshots or log your keystrokes.
- It cannot read your files, your browsing history, or what is on any window or browser tab.
- It does not read what you copy:
- it notices that you copied something, what kind of thing it was (text, an image, or files), and how big it was;
- it never reads, keeps, or sends the thing itself;
- if you use a password manager during your interview, your password is never read.
What it looks for on your computer
While running, it reads the following signals from Windows itself, not from anything on your screen:
- windows hidden from screen sharing;
- whether your camera, microphone, or speakers are in use, and by which app;
- whether the screen is being recorded, or a screenshot was just taken;
- what displays and devices are connected, so a virtual camera can be spotted;
- whether the computer is a virtual machine or is being remotely controlled;
- the name of the app currently in front.
Speaker activity is treated only as background context, since Windows cannot tell playback from recording.
What we receive
Every few seconds we receive a short, signed status message containing:
- an overall result for the interview: clean, review, or suspicious;
- for anything flagged: the type of signal, how serious it is, and the name of the app involved.
We do not receive window titles, file names, web addresses, screenshots, audio, or anything you have copied. Device and hardware names stay on your computer. We use these signals only to assess the integrity of your interview and share the result with the organisation conducting it.
Storage and logs
- These signals are stored against your interview record and retained as described in section 6.
- The app also keeps a small diagnostic log on your own computer, recording things like when it started and whether it connected. The log contains no app names, file names, window titles, or web addresses. It is never uploaded automatically, and we may ask you to send it if you report a problem.
Your choices
- Running AgentR Guard is a condition set by the organisation conducting your interview, so if you would rather not, please raise it with them beforehand.
- You can close the app at any time to stop all monitoring immediately. Uninstalling removes it completely.
- It does not ask Windows for camera or microphone permission, because it never uses either.
